At times I find it would really do me better to keep my mouth shut. Likewise, sometimes running into old acquaintances reminds you why they are OLD acquaintances and not people you still associate with. This isn't to say it was a complete loss; I found more than a couple interesting people (I think I have a pretty good track record with Gabriels) and managed to befriend a Norn along the way. Productive day, despite the hours of arguing involved regarding my situation.

Today, starting with Starbucks. Need to pick up cigarettes. Try to touch base with a couple more people. Take a break in the afternoon and spend some time somewhere I can kick back and relax. Where's a helplessly devoted lackey-and-or-friend to rub your shoulders when you need one?

I need a break.

Yes. She's a clever, fierce creature who has her hands in the Valkyrie. I'm quite surprised Michael hasn't thrown a fit about our partnership.

Can't get better at something you don't try. You get it! I knew it wasn't that difficult to fathom, but everyone is insistent that I spend all my tempting people into sin when it's really just more work for me in the end.

Loki... does not like me. He likes my cat, though, and nearly blew my horn when he sneaked into my room once. I shudder to think of what would happened had he managed. You don't get an Instruction Manual for things like this, so I'm not quite sure what would happen.

Well... he listens to me, if I want to talk, but when he sees a demon, he goes, "OMG DEMON. MUST SMITE," and then seems to be functioning on autopilot. I myself need aspirin sometimes when dealing with him.

I did try, once. Michael said it didn't seem to help much, so after that I gave up. Of course I get it. I have to deal with paperwork too.

Sometimes humans don't really need the extra help, anyway.

Well, yes. He sneaked into my room, saw the horn hanging above my bed, and was apparently about to try it out when, thankfully, he got distracted by the kitten. I was rather surprised when I returned to my room to find a Norse god on my bed cuddling my cat.

Michael sees things in black and white. In all honesty, I'd refer to someone like Belial as a demon but I've never been certain how to 'classify' you, so to speak.

*raises eyebrow* Tempting. I don't. I understand the stress of facing a pile of paperwork. It's not the same thing.

I renounced my birthright, but I have not changed my manner of creation or existence. I am as much angel and light as I ever was, just simply a bird outside of the cage instead of in it.

Well, I'd falsely accused him of murdering the personification of dreams a few days before and it didn't end well. But then the previous night I'd met Morpheus's successor, who explained that it was a different manifestation of Loki in the Manor. So I apologised to him. With Loki, however, first impressions count for most, so we're civil now but he prefers my cat to me.

So you consider us caged, then?

*lips twitch* I suppose I have no choice then, do I? No sane being would do that if given a choice. Even with the gods, personifications, Antichrist and other beings running around this place where I'm having a 'vacation', at least there's no dam - blessed paperwork. It's so liberating.

I have some if you don't. Let's see. I've spoken with Michael, another incarnation of yourself, Castiel and then outside of the host, I've had a chat with Jesus and Mary Magdalene. Also, Adam- my Antichrist, not the Adam. As for delegating, I'm a bit of a control freak when it comes to the work. Can't have other people coming in and messing up the way I've organized everything, there's a system.

I'm not intending to do my part to move it along anytime soon.

Indeed. You can't kill dreams for long. However, Morpheus himself is dead, and the 'new' Dream is Daniel Hall. I've met him, actually. It was... strange. I had known Morpheus, and mourned him, and Daniel's resemblance to him was uncanny. It's the eyes, I think.

True. We're going on a long trip soon, actually. He was going on about the Apocalypse, and I asked if he'd ever really experienced humanity. He conceded that he hadn't, and suggested we travel for a while. Hopefully it will at least distract him from 'playing bully' for a while.

Hmm. I wonder if Raphael would be willing to give me a massage. It certainly does look enjoyable. Stress levels alright then? I'm beginning to wonder if He's having unplanned dress rehearsals, with new cast members brought in at the last minute.

We're hoping to see as many countries as possible, although I would rather avoid Central America; it holds bad memories for me. So far we've only decided on various parts of the United Kingdom, and some places in the Middle East I liked back in the old days. Of course, a lot of things have changed, but they'll still bring back memories; England certainly is. What would you suggest?

I enjoyed being in Egypt, but I haven't been there since... the first Ptolemy, come to think of it, except very briefly with an explorer named Giovanni Belzoni. I'd like to see how it's changed. The other places sound good too, thank you.
